Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground
Where is the best campground in America? If you have children or like attractions, then the answer is easy. It is Disney World's Fort Wilderness Campground. Bring your RV or tent, both work perfectly at this luxury campground, filled with all sorts of recreational activities and Disney fun. Located lake side, the two big pools, free transportation, and tropical landscaping add up to a great camping experience. Toss in being a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, and you now know why our family thinks this is the best camping spot around!

The water taxis provide all the transportation you will need to get around Disney. Take the boat to the Contemporary Resort and then monorail to your destination. |

We love the golf carts, as that is the best way to have fun and tour the grounds. |

Don't forget to bring your bikes and cruise around on the really nice paths. |

At Fort Wilderness, each campsite has a paved driveway, picnic table, bbq grill, water, and power. |

At least twice a day we found our way back to one of the two big pools. |

In addition to the nice beach area, children will enjoy evening campfire programs featuring sing-alongs and the showing of a Disney film. |

You can rent some canoes to get a true Davy Crockett view of the campgrounds. |

We stayed in our tent, which worked out great. Showers facilities are scattered around in the various loop zones. |

Some of the many sporting activities available at the campground include: tennis, basketball, volleyball, fishing, arcades, and even a petting farm. |
